Infused Oils & Vinegars provides specialty food products and gifts, focusing on high-quality flavored olive oils and vinegars. Their unique flavor options and attention to quality attract customers to their Dallas area tasting bar, cooking events, and online store.

In 2019, Infused Oils & Vinegars approached Atomic Design and Consulting to improve their seasonal holiday sales, online traffic,  and overall brand awareness—specifically to Kosher audiences. Our mission was to expand their audience base, and create an effective conversion strategy.

Going Beyond the Brick and Mortar

Breaking into a crowded retail marketplace can be difficult. Especially when selling specialty products and to smaller niche audiences.  Infused Oils and Vinegars had recently moved their brick and mortar store to a better location and had seen the growth in sales and foot traffic. Online sales remained a very small percentage of their business, however, and they needed to expand their reach with paid ads and leverage smarter online sales strategy.

Infused Oils and Vinegars had been relying on their storefront tasting room and local fairs to showcase the brand and attract new sales. Starting at the end of October, the Atomic team had limited time to brainstorm ad strategy, creative, and complete implementation on social platforms and the website before the Thanksgiving holiday and Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

After discussing goals we recommended running ads and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram, setting up a conversion oriented landing page for the Kosher audience, and a chat feature for the sale page. We also wanted to improve the shopper’s experience by making it easy to find sale items, identify Kosher products, and view current discounts and promos.

In a matter of weeks, Infused Oils and Vinegars’ website went from being a stagnant online store to a revenue generating powerhouse. The Atomic team carefully monitored the success of various ads and audiences to recommend changes throughout the 6 week long campaign.

Spending only $550 on paid ads, their online sales increased 243% compared to the prior year.

After implementing mobile optimizations, audience specific landing pages and automation tactics, the online store conversion rate jumped 104% compared to the prior year. Overall website sessions increased by 129%.
