As some of you may know, Atomic Design & Consulting will soon reach its’ ten year anniversary, so this calls for a celebration! Currently, Megan and I are planning a 10-year celebration where Atomic’s close family, friends, and clients will come enjoy a night of fun memories, and cheers to the next ten years! Now, it’s easy to get lost in party planning while trying to keep up with every day work tasks, so here are some useful tips that I’ve found help keep things organized and working smoothly:
  • Keep a binder. Yep, it’s that easy. Yesterday night I purchased two binders for Megan and myself to use over the duration of planning this event. I also bought dividers and paper clips to keep everything extra organized. Now, whenever we’re talking party, we can just bring out the handy dandy binder and plan away.
  • Use AtTask. Or some other form of online task filer. I’ve come to realize that AtTask is very useful when I need to look at a list of things to get done. All you have to do is login, and your tasks will be filed in order of when they were entered. You can also mark your progress and make comments about certain tasks to keep track of everything.
  • Communicate. Megan and I meet up frequently to discuss the venue, goodie bags, and other various factors that go into party planning. Meeting up multiple times a week helps both of us stay on the same page with everything.

Now I’m definitely glad to be able to work on this event with Megan because I’m learning a lot and enjoying that every day has something new in store! So just remember: keep organized, a positive attitude and everything will fall into place. Next thing you know, you’ll be at your own event clinking those glasses!
